Which organizer should you use?

Use a Venn diagram when the overlap itself matters, and a T-chart when two categories can stay separate. KWL works well before and after a lesson, while a Frayer model is better when a learner needs to define a concept through characteristics, examples, and non-examples.

For reading, choose a story map for narrative elements, main idea and details for hierarchy, sequence for order, and cause and effect only when the relationship is genuinely causal. The page should make the relationship easier to see—not add extra boxes just to fill.
