What is included — and when to use each page
For grades 3–5, prioritize clear relationships and manageable writing load. Start with story structure, main idea, sequence, comparison, and prediction; move into inference, theme, context clues, purpose, and causation as students can explain their thinking with evidence.
How to use this pack without creating worksheet overload
Use the pack as a reusable teacher file rather than a workbook students complete from front to back. A single text may need only one organizer, and a longer unit may use two or three at different stages.
When a student can name the answer but cannot explain it, use the organizer that makes the relationship explicit—for example, inference for clues + knowledge, or theme for evidence + a complete theme statement.
Keep writing expectations proportional to the task. The organizer should reduce cognitive load so students can explain the reading move; it should not become a longer assignment than the response it is preparing them to write.

Are the pages only for fiction?
